How do I adjust the cooking temperatures for recipies between gas and electric ovens.?

I have always cooked with a gas oven and have recently moved into a new home with an electric oven. All the meals I have cooked to date have burnt or cooked unevenly. If a recipie states the cooking temp for a gas oven, how do I adjust it to cook in an electric oven???How do I adjust the cooking temperatures for recipies between gas and electric ovens.?
There is no adjustment necessary for gas vs electric ovens. If your electric oven is a convection oven, that will make a difference. They cook faster.

Ovens can be very inaccurate. If you adjusted to one that was low, then moving to one that is accurate could throw you off. Alternatively, your new one could be running high.

Get an oven thermometer at a cooking store. See if your current oven is accurate. If it's running too hot, just turn down the dial. If it is true to the setting, you'll need to relearn your cooking techniques. They were probably altered by your last oven running below temperature.

Don't worry. It's pretty easy to adjust after a little bit of experience with the new equipment. How do I adjust the cooking temperatures for recipies between gas and electric ovens.?
the tempuratues should be the same. Perhaps you need to get someone out to calabrate the tempuratues on your oven.

As for cooking unevenly, 1/2 way through cooking, turn the tray around so both sides have equal time in the hot spots %26amp; cold spots.
It's not a problem of gas or electric, but rather just different stoves.

You should put a thermometer in your oven to see if it is at the right temp. It will just take some time to get used to the new oven.
