How can I get a cooking oil stain out of clothes?

The cooking oil was used to cook fish! I have soaked the item overnight, but it didn't remove the stain - and it still smells of fish.How can I get a cooking oil stain out of clothes?
This has worked for me - Super Clean. It is an industrial de-greaser (Walmart sells it %26amp; auto parts stores). Pour some on the spot, allow to stand for a minute and then wash.How can I get a cooking oil stain out of clothes?

Dry cleaners use solvents not water. the stain WILL come out.
Dawn dish detergent will work on grease stains. I usually treat the stain with Dawn, rubbing it in, and then rinse it out. You may need to repeat this process more than once until the stain is removed. It seems to be safe for fabrics and doesn't leave an ';industrial'; smell behind (like Lestoil or Pine Sol might). Also, if you have allergies to various laundry and cleaning products, the Dawn dish soap you use will not cause rashes when used on your clothes.

Take it to a dry cleaner. If that doesnt work i dont think it will come out. Good luck! :)
Put Grease Relief on the stain, let it soak for a while, then wash in hottest water the fabric can handle

try dawn...for an hour let in sit with dawn then rinse

it depends if it is an old or new stain..hope this helps...
Use a clear clarifing shampoo. Make sure it is clear, put it on the stain and wash as usual.

You can also try a great product from Market America called SOS, it takes out just about everything. Go to www.shopatladydi.com and order some it's great.

Usually best if you can treat right away, try baking soda, it will typically leach the oil out of the material fibers, however, it also depends on the material type %26amp; the length of time it has set in.



Apply the baking soda with a little water to form a thick past %26amp; let it stand for about an hour, then rub the baking soda in.



You can also try oxy-clean in the wash or ammonia in the wash water. (ammonia usually works well with motor oils too.)

here is a less involved way. Put ur clothes on the ironing board or flat surface (that wont be burnt mu an iron). Sprinkle some flour on the oil spot and then put another piece of clothing (cotton is best) over the spot and iron it on low. The flour will absorb the oil. It really works! Be careful not to burn ur clothes.
If it's a synthetic material an oxygen bleach such as Oxyclean will remove the organic materials (incl. smell) without damaging the fabric. Follow the directions on the packaging.
Try Clorox StainOut. It's bleach free and I use it all the time. I work in a kitchen and next to Greased Lightning it is the best thing I have found.
Dawn dishwashing soap, shampoo, or baby powder.
1. Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the washer as you are washing a load of soiled clothes.

2. Pour gas lighter (Not butane!!!) on the spot and wash with Sunlight yellow soap or liquid dish soap. Rince with warm water. Repeat if needed, then wash as usual. Works even on silk!

3. use WD-40. Spray a little on the stain. Let sit for 10 minutes. Launder as usual. Use this method only for synthetic fabrics - not silk!
rub bicarbonated soda on it leave for 30 minutes then wash on 60 degrees
